Rear yards in Franklin, Brentwood, Nolensville and the newer Murfreesboro subdivisions usually back to a common area, a tree line or a pond. Aluminum encloses the yard without walling off the view that made the lot worth buying. It is also the material most neighborhoods approve fastest, because the black picket profile is what the architectural guidelines were written around.

Unlike wrought iron, aluminum does not rust when the powder coating gets scratched by a mower, and unlike wood it does not need pressure washing or restaining on a cycle. Panels rack up to a set degree, so the fence follows a grade change in a smooth line instead of leaving triangular gaps under each section.

Height, vertical picket spacing, the gap under the bottom rail, latch height and self closing hinges all have to line up with the residential pool barrier requirements your inspector enforces. Getting one of those wrong is what turns a finished pool into a delayed final inspection.
